We have had the desire to move to Tennessee after our visit at Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa. We have talked about it for years now and every year we justify why we shouldn't do it that year... well, no more!
It was my dad passing that has helped us to see what it is that really matters... nurturing the relationships that matter the most!
We are all excited and the anticipation may just make me, well, crazy than I am typically! ;)
Stay tuned and enjoy the ride with us....
**11-16-2008, my Dad passed away and this was extremely difficult for all of us. "Papa" was a strong and loving man. With out his wisdom and support I would not be who I am today. We were fortunate to have him live with us the last two years and how truly amazing it was! He was able to form an even stronger bond with our daughter and be a "bigger than life" part of our family. He will be missed more than words will ever express!
We love you "Papa"!!

Windy,
You stopped by my blog today at Knoxville Daily Photo and had a question for me....thanks for visiting! I will try to answer your question....
Windy,
Do your in-laws currently live in Chattanooga? You say you and your family are moving to the North East area of TN....do you mean the Tri-Cities area near Bristol?
I think your family will love living in Tennessee. I was born and raised in Knoxville and have always lived here my entire life. I am now raising my own family in the same community I grew up in.
The people of Tennessee are very friendly, welcoming, and hospitable. I hope your move here is an easy one and that you and your family grow to love TN and truly call it home. I think the area you will be moving to is just beautiful. You will be surrounded by mountains and ridges. You will be near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park....we love visiting there often!!
Look through my blog if you wish, and you may learn a little more about our beautiful state we call Home! My blog is mostly about Knoxville, though.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and best wishes to your family.

Hi Windy,
It's so wonderful that you and your family's dream of moving to Tennessee is becoming a reality. I remember how it felt like I had gone to heaven when I moved here and I have been thankful everyday since. Hope is absolutely right that NE Tennessee has the friendliest folks around and the mountains, rivers and countryside create a beautiful tranquil setting that brings peace to a weary soul.
